Making sure the CTO “gets it”
Agile has delivered truly remarkable changes in the way software development teams engage with their end users and business sponsors. These changes are almost universally positive; however, there is a fly in the ointment. Many commentators and practitioners have observed that there are limits to how Agile and scrum can be scaled across multiple teams, geographies, and organizational divisions. Some of the often cited challenges include: a) Enterprise wide team consistency, b) The need for independent testing, and c) Senior stakeholder engagement.
This presentation will explore why these areas are particularly challenging when it comes to enterprise scale Agile. Some novel solutions to the problems will be described and some Case Studies described including scenarios involving outsourced software development.
